WORKSHOP 2 GUIDELINES FOR CREATIVE CONTESTANTS

AMPED WORKSHOP 2 GUIDELINES 2017

  1. Workshop 2 is scheduled to run over 3 days, 14, 15 and 16 August 2017
  2. There are two cuts scheduled during the workshop. The cuts will occur as follows:

Day 2 Morning Cut: 100 creative contestants will be sent home based on the assessment from Day 2

Evening Cut: 50 creative contestants will be sent home after a second round of assessments. The remaining students will be added to a leadership programme (running parallel to Day 3 of the mainstream Workshop 2 programme).


Remember to bring the following items along with you to Workshop 2:

All creative contestants are expected to bring along 3 sets of clothing for the purpose of a video shoot, on condition that they make it through the two contestant cuts referred to above.        


Creative contestants will be expected to select a song for the video shoot from the published list of songs, scheduled for release in the month of July, 2017. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from the 2017 AMPED AFRICA programme.


Song lists will be made available on social media platforms as well as WhatsApp and Facebook groups.


Both Creative and Management contestants will be expected to participate in all coaching activities including Workshop 2 as well as subsequent activities for the TOP 100 and TOP 10, inclusive of AMPEDFest


AMPED AFRICA and all affiliated trademarks reserve its rights on the competition and the school development programme.


WORKSHOP 2 CATEGORY RULES BREAKDOWN


DANCE

  1. Contestants may audition individually or as a crew.
  2. Crews are limited to a maximum of four (4) members.
  3. Song selection/s must be from the published song list.
  4. Audition time is limited to a maximum of two (2) minutes.

VOCALS

  1. Contestants may audition individually or as a group.
  2. Groups are limited to a maximum of four (4) members.
  3. Song selection/s must be from the published song list.
  4. Audition time is limited to a maximum of two (2) minutes.

PRESENTERS

  1. Contestants must audition individually (no group auditions allowed).
  2. Contestants may include their vernacular tongue within the English presentation/audition.
  3. Audition is limited to forty-five (45) seconds per individual presenter.
